About Perminder Virdee
I am a fully qualified teacher and have been teaching for over 20 years.
It has always been my ambition to teach children at Primary level. I studied my PGCE at University of East London and I moved to West London where I taught for six years before I moved to Birmingham.
After teaching for three years I became Key Stage One co-ordinator which I thouroughly enjoyed and also became part of the senior managment team which enabled me to share my views and opinions on how we could help children progress, as well as other areas of school life.
I married in 2006 and moved to Birmingham which is where I am originally from and chose to supply teach. After one Year I moved back to London where I settled in Fulham and started teaching at a school there. I am very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work across all year groups. I have supported Years five and six in Literacy and Numeracy through SATS. I love my job, as I help children to reach their full potential and I cater for individual needs. As my reputation grew parents of children I taught began to ask me to give their children individual lessons, whether that was to support them through areas where they needed more guidance or whether it was to prepare their children for tests and exams. I have thouroughly enjoyed this experience and would like to use my skills and expertise to support children even further on an individual basis. I am understanding, helpful and very professional.
In summer 2013, I left my position as a part time Key stage two teacher, as the private tuition I offered had become so popular. I now have more time to offer private tutoring sessions. I am skilled in assisting with the requirements of the National Curriculum in Key Stages one and two. Using suitable resources I can support and develop all areas of Numeracy and Mathematical concepts and develop your child’s confidence in this subject.
I have continued to teach some of my students beyond Primary School and into Secondary school. This has given me the opportunity to teach Key Stage 3 curriculum in Maths up to GCSE level. It is great to see students develop their understanding of Mathematical concepts and progress through the years.
